Job Description

Support the Financial Compliance team in regulatory research, policy development, internal controls assessment, and financial governance tasks, with emphasis on leveraging AI tools and adhering to relevant standards.


Skills

1.        Excellent interpersonal communication and ability to synthesize information into clear and concise reports and presentations using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

2.        Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.

3.        Strong research skills with the ability to gather and analyze data both quantitative and qualitative.

4.        Teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and in team settings.

5.        Strong interest in policy development and enthusiasm for leveraging AI tools is a plus.


Qualifications
  • Must be 3rd year student in one of QF universities preferably HBKU College of Public Policy (CPP), HBKU College of Law (CL), Carnegie Mellon University Qatar, Georgetown University Qatar
  • Have a GPA of 3.2 or above
  • Proficiency in Arabic language is an advantage. 

Responsibility
  • Collaborate with business process owners and finance management to evaluate effectiveness of existing policies and procedures (P&P’s) and contribute to the efforts to address any gaps in finance P&P’s.
  • Research and demonstrate viable AI options / tools to support efficiencies and enhancements to financial governance tasks such as development/update of Finance Policies & Procedures.
  • Conduct in-depth research on Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations in Qatar and internationally, and develop tailored AML framework proposals for implementation across QF and also specifically for QF Finance, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and operational needs.
  • Assist in documentation, and evaluation of controls under the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) framework. Assist in identifying control gaps and proposing remediation strategies in alignment with best practices.
  • Research relevant ISO standards (e.g., ISO 31000, ISO 37301, ISO 27001) and provide guidance on their applicability and integration into finance processes.
  • Collect and organize qualitative data from the RACA website and other official publications for new laws, guidelines, or regulatory compliance for non-profit entities.
  • Perform such other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Financial Compliance Director.
