Job Description

This role provides hands-on exposure and training related to strategic program alignment within a national research, development, and innovation ecosystem.

The intern will contribute to research, coordination, analysis, and documentation efforts, supporting the day-to-day activities while gaining practical experience in strategy, governance, and public-sector innovation.


Skills
  1. Strong analytical and research skills.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
  3. Ability to synthesize complex information into clear summaries and presentations.
  4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  5. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); familiarity with collaboration tools is an advantage.
  7. Professional discretion and ability to handle sensitive information.
  8. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications
  1. Undergraduate or graduate student in Public Policy, International Relations, Business Administration, Political Science, Innovation Studies, Engineering Management, or a related field.
  2. Strong academic standing.
  3. Interest in innovation ecosystems and national development initiatives.
  4. Previous internship or project experience in a policy, research, strategy, or public-sector environment is an advantage but not required.

Responsibility
  1. Support the preparation of presentations, reports, meeting materials, and internal dashboards.
  2. Contribute to inter-departmental coordination and strategic integration initiatives.
  3. Assist in organizing stakeholder meetings, workshops, and events, including note-taking and follow-up actions.
  4. Support data collection, analysis, and maintenance of internal trackers.
  5. Conduct desk research on international best practices, benchmarking, and emerging trends relevant to RDI policy and strategy.
  6. Provide general administrative and coordination support as required.
