The intern will support ongoing laboratory research activities involving molecular biology, protein purification, and biochemical assays. The role includes assisting with routine lab work such as media preparation, buffer preparation, western blotting, protein purification support, sample preparation, and other molecular biology-related tasks. The intern will work under supervision and will be expected to follow established laboratory protocols, maintain good laboratory practice, and contribute to organized and safe lab operations.

- Basic knowledge of molecular biology and biochemistry techniques.
- Good understanding of sterile technique and general laboratory safety.
- Ability to prepare media, buffers, and reagents accurately.
- Familiarity with protein work, SDS-PAGE, western blotting, or protein purification is preferred.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written protocols and document experimental work clearly.
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a research team.

- Graduate student currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD in health sciences.

- Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

- Students on scholarships must ensure their scholarship permits work.

- Prepare culture media, buffers, and laboratory reagents.
- Assist with protein purification and sample preparation.
- Support molecular biology experiments, including routine assay preparation.
- Assist with SDS-PAGE, western blotting, and related protein analysis workflows.
- Maintain accurate records of prepared materials and experimental steps.
- Follow laboratory protocols, biosafety rules, and good laboratory practices.
- Help organize laboratory supplies and maintain a clean working environment.
- Support other research activities as required by the supervising researcher.
